Popping in to share the title of our latest favourite library can-not-put-down-must-read-every-night-food-book: Mama Provi and the Pot of Rice by Sylvia Rosa-Casanova and illustrated by Robert Roth.
We love this book because it's about family, food and cooking, community, numbers, huge lesson on sharing/exchanging, huge lesson on the concept of gifts from the heart. You will learn some Spanish words, you will be delighted by the illustrations.

Hi Stephanie, Hi Jodi!
if you have time, DO let me know what you think. It's out-of-print, so we're renewing it from the library over and over, until I get around to tracking it down via the intown book dealer...
I just picked it up today...I'll let you know when we read it. (probably tomorrow.)
:)
Stephanie, so glad the library got it for you so quickly. Sooo looking forward to your feedback!
